Details of Facelift Reveal for the 2018 Nissan Qashqai Perth Drivers Should Know
The Nissan Qashqai has been a popular model in the Nissan range since its launch. Straddling the small to medium SUV segment, it has provided an option for the ultimate urban vehicle. Therefore, Nissan enthusiasts have been keenly awaiting details of the model facelift due next year. With the arrival of the Geneva motor show, Perth drivers can finally get some long awaited details.
The most obvious difference in the updated Nissan Qashqai Perth drivers will notice is the exterior aesthetic. The front fascia has been dramatically reworked; it now features the latest version of the V motion Nissan grille. You may also notice new headlight units, which are now available with adaptive LED lamps and a new bonnet. At the rear, the model has revised tail light graphics and new bumpers.
Inside the cabin, the most noticeable features are the updated NissanConnect infotainment interface, an updated trim, new steering wheel design and a new choice of materials for the dash. This creates a more sophisticated feel to an already classy cabin. So it is sure to have even greater appeal than the current model.
The new Nissan Qashqai for sale in Europe will be offered with the Nissan first generation ProPilot system. This is a self driving system that allows automated steering, braking, and acceleration on a single highway lane.
In Europe, the Nissan Qashqai will be available in a new Teckna+. This will be a top of the line variant with chrome satin headlights, seven speaker Bose sound system and Nappa leather seats. The European model will also feature improved sound deadening, new alloy wheel designs in 17, 18 and 19 inch variants, thicker rear glass and pedestrian detection as part of the automated emergency brakes system.
Unfortunately, to date, Nissan HQ has not released the exact specification for our local market. The official information is that the updated model will be available for sale here early in 2018, so presumably further details will be confirmed in the coming months. The exact timing has yet to be locked in, so there may still be some changes to the overall spec. However, it is a safe assumption that we will see some elements of the European spec here. Nissan HQ often uses the European market as a test bed for other markets including our own. So with any luck, we will see the Teckna+ and the other upgrades and changes when the Qashqai arrives here.
