How Does the New Nissan Pathfinder for Sale Stack Up Against its Rivals
The large crossover segment has been highly competitive in recent years, but with the launch of new models, it has become an even more crowded market. While the Mazda is dominating the segment, the second place is highly competitive. So, how does the Nissan offering stack up against the Toyota and Kia models?
For the sake of comparison, we are looking at the Nissan Pathfinder Ti, the Kia Sorento GT Line, and the Toyota Kluger Grande. These variants are all comparable in price and have a number of features in comparison including electric tailgate, roof rails, sunroof, proximity key, sat nav, climate control, and leather seats. All three also have a touch screen, with the Nissan and Toyota equipped with an 8.0 inch and the Kia a smaller 7.0 inch.
There is also parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert and a rearview camera. Additionally, the new Nissan Pathfinder for sale has 20 inch wheels, BOSE 13 speaker audio system, two screens for mid row passengers with wireless headphones and LED projector headlights.
Inside the Cabins:
The Pathfinder does stand out from the crowd with the fantastic cabin space. It offers a proper three row seven seats, with the middle row of seating that recline and slide. This means that you can have ISOFIX child seats in place and still access the third row seating. The third row also reclines with plenty of legroom and headroom throughout. There are also four 12v outlets, six bottle holders, 10 cupholders and underfloor storage to make the cabin even more practical.
While the cabins in the Kia and the Toyota look premium, with decent seating, headroom, and knee room, they do struggle to compete with the Nissan.
The Kia is equipped with a turbo diesel 2.2 litre unit which offers 147 kW power. However, this does limit the towball download maximum to 100 kg, but it is fairly refined when paired with a six speed automatic transmission.
The Toyota and Nissan are both equipped with a more robust 3.5 litre V6 that produces 218 kW and 202 kW respectively. Both of these engine options offer impressive power without being too thirsty. The Pathfinder has character and is free revving, making it a very pleasant driving experience.
