A Nissan X Trail Perth Dealer Report
The 2018 Nissan X Trail Ti has been out now for a short while, and we thought it may be interesting to revisit this model now that the hype has died down a little. This is an excellent variant that’s packed with options, and it sits towards the top of the entire range. The X Trail Ti is a premium all wheel drive model with a petrol engine matched to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Let’s take a closer look at the X Trail Ti now that it has had plenty of real world use on Australian roads.
The X Trail Ti Basics
This variant is a five seater with a comprehensive styling and equipment upgrade. The front end has a brand new look, and the rear now has darker tail lamps and LED treatments. The big news here is autonomous emergency braking (AEB) for added safety on our roads. The interior has received some minor tweaks, such as a fresh new steering wheel, a revised centre console, new armrests and a brand new gear lever.
Under the Bonnet
There is a new diesel engine in the range, but the real fun is the petrol power plant. This petrol engine is a naturally aspirated 2.5L four cylinder unit which does not have a turbocharger. This engine generates 126kW of power, and 226 Nm of torque and a claimed fuel consumption of 8.3L/100km combined when using standard 91 RON fuel.
The standard equipped kit includes powered folding mirrors, a rear view camera, keyless entry, push button start, a tailgate spoiler, LED daytime running lights, 60/40 split rear seats and ISOFIX anchor points on the left and right rear seats.
There are also plenty of safety features, such as forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, moving object detection, six airbags, hill start assist, a limited slip differential, rear cross traffic alert and the aforementioned autonomous emergency braking (AEB) system.
The X Trail Ti is a premium model and as such it get certain features from the mid spec ST-L variant, such as: a 7” infotainment display, satellite navigation, a DAB+ digital radio, leather accented steering wheel, leather accented seats, tinted rear windows, front fog lights, a six way power adjustable driving seat, driver lumbar support, heated front seats, dual zone climate control, roof rails and dual zone climate control.
