The New 2017 Nissan Pathfinder Unveiled
The next version of the Nissan Pathfinder has been unveiled, and there are some exciting new features. Nissan has revealed that this new version of this Aussie favourite will land here in the first half of 2017. This next generation SUV is certain to attract a lot of attention, and it has a lot of competition. Let’s take a look at what it has to offer and some of the new features that are available.
The New Exterior Design Ethos:
The Nissan Pathfinder for sale in 2017 will be a revision that has some extra flair. The exterior has new stylistic touches, such as slimmer headlights, a revised grille with three black bars and slim chrome frame, a revised front bumper with a more square design, new wing mirrors with integrated turn signal, fresh alloy wheel designs, an updated rear bumper and new red tail light graphics. This is a fresh family oriented SUV with cleaner lines and a bang up to date aerodynamic style.
A New Updated Interior:
Inside, the Pathfinder is a very nice place to be with EZ Flex seating technology and three rows of seats. There is an 8” touchscreen infotainment system fitted as standard and a 4” colour display screen to monitor the Advanced Driver Assist system. There is a tri-zone automatic air conditioning system for an extra touch of comfort. Both satellite navigation and voice recognition functionality are available as standard on some of the models.
Loads of Storage Options:
There are some very clever storage ideas on display, even an underfloor storage area in the cabin. The 2nd row seats split in a 60/40 configuration and the 3rd row split is 50/50. The Pathfinder has 2,259 litres of cargo space available if the 2nd and 3rd row of seats are folded flat. This gives you a great deal of options for dealing with larger loads and accommodating additional passengers. This is made even easier, thanks to the new tailgate that can open automatically and hands free when you wave your foot under the rear bumper.
Nissan USA is claiming that the braked towing capacity is 2,720 kg which is an improvement of 452 kg over the previous model. This may differ slightly from Australian versions which have a braked towing capacity of 2,700 kg.
